The course will run for five weeks on Thursday evenings from 7:30pm until 9:00pm. Use of all specialist kit and coaching is included in the cost of the course. Places are limited and are allocated strictly on a first come first served basis.
Fencers should wear something easy to move in for warm up (tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt with trainers or squash shoes) and bring a pair of shorts to wear underneath club fencing trousers. Please also bring some drinking water.
Beginners will be introduced to the basic techniques of sabre fencing, including blade work for attack and defense, footwork, safety and the theory of fencing. All participants will receive professional coaching and be provided with all necessary fencing equipment. On completion of the course beginners will be equipped to join NLSC club training and train with our elite fencers.
