Nick Williams Third at Cadet Nationals:

Nick Williams recovered from a poor start in the poules to come third in the National Cadet Championships. Nick was seeded 29 out of 44 after the poules as a result of 2 victories from 5 fights. A relatively comfortable L64 result against Josh Spoor of Camden was followed with victories against No. 4 seed Richard Magee and then No. 20 seed Tom Hendra of Truro in the L.16. Nick’s last 8 opponent was No.5 seed William Bettle of CADS, the fight went right to the wire before Nick made the semi-final with a 15-14 victory. Unfortunately, the semi proved at fight to far as Nick lost to the eventual winner Fabio Artesio of Camden.

The Cadet Nationals were highly successful for NLSC with James Potter and Nick Cavacutti both making the last 16 in addition to Williams’ bronze medal.
